Video of the Week: Fly Over the Chugach Mountains and Knik Glacier

This week, fly above Alaska’s Chugach Mountains and Knik Glacier in a video shot by Chris Reynolds piloting a motorized paraglider. The glacier, just 50 miles from Anchorage, is one of the largest in southern Alaska at over 100,00 acres and originates near the peak of the 13,000-foot Mt. Marcus Baker.

Photo Friday: Married on an Alaskan Glacier

Photographer Josh Martinez took wedding pictures for a brave and adventurous couple with glaciers and pools of icy blue water in the background. For the shoot, they took a helicopter to Alaska’s Knik Glaciers, which is one of the largest in Southcentral Alaska. The wedding photos with ice, silt and glaciers give the photos dreamy and surreal look.
